Porphyridium
Porphyridium is an exopolysaccharide (EPS) thought to protect the algal cells from the extreme environmental conditions, such as drought and high light, prevailing in their native sea-sand habitat. Porhyridium is well known for its anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anti-redness, antimicrobials, antioxidants, moisturizing properties and it is used in a restrictive number of high-end cosmetic products.
MicroA’s closed photobioreactor and core capabilities in polysaccharide production, places the company in a prominent position to address the market demand for high-quality Porphyridium.
