Prasinoguard is an exopolysaccharide (EPS) sustainably manufactured from a marine microalga. The alga is a naturally occurring oceanic unicellular plant which is grown in clean Norwegian seawater, in our patented photobioreactor system, using light and carbon dioxide.

The characteristics of this unique microalgae `Prasinococcus capsulatus` is that it creates a protective gel-layer around its cell to protect against physical, chemical and biological stressors in the ocean. By isolating the cultivated algae through physical separation technologies, we can extract this natural protective gel-layer and generate a purified polysaccharide product
